Thanks for the advice. What the heck is solar salt and where do you get it?

Sea water, primarily that has been evaporated using the sun. We have many fields of them in our lower bay area in San Diego.

I have a little old fountain pump that sometimes won't work and if I stick it in the water and knock it on the side of a rock it will start up every time. Just thought you might give it a try as they come in handy for a spare and once mine gets konked it keeps working till I turn it off and it sits for awhile and then I have to konk it again :regular_waving_emot

Ask for rock salt.

solar salt is back by the water softners and water filters .go on line will give you price also
