Thanks everyone - opted for the Little Giants as a "starter' set of pumps to work out the kinks. The 1900 gph use less wattage combined than the larger 4000 gph. Going on the make it work and fix it later. Still deciding on the filter - thinking pressurized since I am unsure if the stream acts as a natural "bog" - it might as i plan on adding layers of river rock and plants in this area. My current plan it to get the pumps in, fix any supply/piping issues, check flow and let it run for one month to see about water clarity. Currently plan to add some fish although not koi - only need one obsession in my life
