How cold does it get in the winter....I would look into some cold water fish whether native or otherwise to put into it. I have a small 1800 gallon pond that I have native minnows (dace and Johnny darters) that reproduce like crazy in there. Not great for top down viewing but still interesting and gives some activity to the pond.
