It is the 6th one down on mine. My menu may now be different but even before I became Moderator I used that feature many times.

Okay, last time I clicked on your name it took me to a whole other page. This time the drop down menu came up. That happened with the search bar too. Sometimes it takes me to a search page and sometimes a drop down. Weird.

Any who, If I can find a spot in the yard to put it that might be good. A couple follow-up questions:

1) Should I still go with that size barrel for my pond (kidney shaped 9x9, 3 feet deep, 2 feet shallow) I may be enlarging the pond someday and want to be prepared.

2) Would I benefit from/need some kind of UV clarifyer or would that be overkill?

3) I saw that some people added freshwater clams to help filter in the pond, would that be helpful (I know the turtles will eat the snails so that would be a waste of money)?

4) How often do you have to clean/service your filter?

its in the equipmernt forum, the 70 gallon skippy filter is in the diy forum. the skippy can be remotely located also you just plumb the outlet for a hose or pipe..just like the 55 gallon drum ( i put a waterfasll weir on mine but its not necessary) its just lower profile,..and easy to hide ... you can use an outdoor plastic (sturdy) trash can to build a filter also.

I just cleaned mine, it took 40 seconds and my plants loved it.
Koiguy is right, it can be plumbed remotely, many here have done just that.
I do not use UV on ponds. Mother Nature doesn't use one in the millions of waterways, why should you? 42 years ago, we were building these before they were commerciailly available so I know UV. It is best suited for saltwater aquariums where things can go wrong fast. A properly maintained pond doesn't need it.
I have never used clams, can't answer that.
