The night heron, hunts day and night. They love the lizards, you see them stalking the bushes constantly.
One day we were floating in the pool, we watched one egret walk the top of the chain link fence, the other walked below the fence. The one on top would either grab the tiny lizards on the fence, of it missed the lizards would run down the fence and the ground egret would snatch them up. We watched them eat around 10, they walked the entire pool fence. They had a nice system set up for getting dinner.
