I do, then grow it in a bucket, to allow any pests time to settle out. You can also try floating your wild gathered stock in a bucket of “dip” a dilute bleach or potassium pomegranate ( that won’t be spelt right on the pomegranate) then moving it to fresh clear water for a thorough rinse, before setting it up in a separate container to grow and doling any out.Does anyone collect duckweed from wild ponds or lakes? What are the risks and can they be mitigated. Note I only have (rescue ) feeder comet goldfish.
