Critters in the Lotus pot?

MYSTERY SOLVED: Ostracods also known as Seed Shrimp. These little critters are harmless and wisely have decided not to wage war on my thriving Lotus plants.

Weird looking little creatures. Thanks for letting us know what they were. They look like they would be super tiny.

Yes. They're about the size of a pin head. One of the folks at the site I found them on suggested I get guppies to control the population. I can certainly attest to the fact that they are prolific breeders!
