I had to trim my creeping jenny it grew 3 feet out into the pond and had little roots all over it so threw some of it into the floating planter .I just cut a bunch off and now it is growing like mad in the planter and U put some behind rocks in my stream .I had corkscrew plants in my garden and washed the roots off and planted some in my pond but they did not do well .

Not alot and even when it gets out in the lawn and creeps all over it seems to suffer from heat and dryer conditions and to much sun seems to do it in also.I had mine on the side of my pond in a little more shade and i think that is why it took off as it did

Mine is full sun and doing great. Growing everywhere. I don't buy any plants that need shade, we don't really have any spot that stays shaded.

The closest thing I have to 'full sun' is a couple hours of direct sunlight and maybe 6 good hours of indirect and shaded sunlight. However my jenny grows so thick that even with the dogs laying in it, and me occasionally walking through it, it still grows just fine. I have it planted in the walkway to my filters, just waiting for it to really fill in.

I only allow mine to grow in the rocks by the pond and hang into the pond. None grow in the soil as I don't want it to overtake that area so any walking is on the rocks and it kind of crushes them on that hard surface so need to watch where I walk.

It is not considered a stepable plant, can handle some walking on, but not a lot.

I made some small floating plant rings, put the creeping jenny in them and tied it to the rocks; my koi said thanks for the salad bar. They are naughty but I love them!!!
