my goldies taught me...goldies can and probably will spawn several times in a season....sometimes for an hour sometimes for a day or two.... and sometimes a couple times in a week...for a couple weeks. thats why i dont have them anymore. that and along with my koi spawns its too much work and what a mess. so no more goldies and only 1 female koi.... i gave them away (cause no one wants to buy them) by the baby pool full (several) on craigslist.

Yeah, no dinner and a movie with fish. Sometimes it can actually look pretty brutal. When I first saw it in mine, I thought they were trying to kill one of my fish!

thanks for the info guys, i had a look at the male sarasa yesterday and yes he has some small white lumps on his gills, he has still been chasing her around a bit, ive been having a little look around for the eggs but canot see any, tho ime not pulling everything apart just a little search, if i end up with lots of little fish ime sure i can come to a deal with one of the local pet stores, thanks for the good info guys, considering ive only had the fish in the pond for 1 month they are doing well i think, breeding already and now some of them are starting to hand feed, ime really pleased
