I have a guilt inducing confession. I lifted the lily pots from the pond and placed them in my stock tank, last Fall, as I was catching baby koi, to re home them. It was a long and exhausting day.
I was finally finished, and was dumping the water from the stock tank, when I noticed a small fry spill out onto the hill with the running water ! It must have been hiding in one of the lily pots. I looked for it, but not as hard as I could have........

I may regret posting this but I have been unable to find ammonia w/o lemon scent locally to kick start my new pond so have resorted to using an alternative natural source for ammonia.
