All 14 fish up, new owner will be here in about 30 minutes. Then it will one last battle to move them into his containers. These are the 2 year olds and a couple of this years fry.

He was actually eyeing up some of my fish in the other pond! It's going to be a while before I move any more fish although I do want to get my 3 breeders out of there before spring spawn. So much easier selling everything to one person vs having people pick and choose.

So wonderful you placed them in a big pond. If I had multiple ponds I'd separate my girls from the boys. You'll sleep well tonight!

Your liner looks like mine. I'm used to them being very slippery. This was like walking on carpet. Need to scoop out leaves, put netting up.

It is slippery! I try to move slowly and the waders have thick treads.

Very pretty fish. Must have been hard to rehome them, especially once you have named them.

Most of our koi have been given names as we have had them for years. It was either rehome or risk the pond collapsing in the middle of winter. Having 2 ponds has gotten to be a bit more work than I can deal with plus the expense. Going to convert the pond to a shallow place for lilies and other pond plants.

Spent 4 hours removing cap boards from 2 sides and unbolting the top 2 rows of boards. After having to cut the bolts in several places I have decided going to go the easy route and just take a saw to it and cut the posts off to the height I need. I was surprised to see all the blankets and quilts I used as underlay. Price tags from yard sale 10 years ago still on them!
