When I was growing in the country up my grandmother Patrick would not use gas for cooking nor heating so as the last child living at home it was my constant chore to split her firewood. Boy, over the years I sure chopped a lot. Lol
Most of the above is Landon plane but i get all sorts my favorite for firewood is ash burns nice and gives out a good heat.
I have a large wood burner which heats all my radiators + hot water so you can imagine how much i get through during the winter.
