Its an idea stroppy and a welcome one, im sure i seen a wooden one somewhere like the one you mention. I,m a composite laminator so will look into making one myself aalthough i could do without the extra work.
I think im going to have to startt from scratch with a new build and a wsooden sedmi raised in a corner next to the decking that isnt therex yet and the wall, i wonder if i could build using the same ddecking boards

i dont think decking boards would be strong enough plus decking is treated wood and that could be nasty for your fish
mine is semi raised with sleepers one and a half feet below ground and three above

what fast way to take a bath LOL How about going deeper than bigger .You could build the sidewalls up with retaining wall block so grandkids could look in .But they would have to be supervised if they are climbers .You could buy a liner then ,much cheaper than a preformed .Do they sell stock tanks there they come in oval and square and I have seen some as deep as 5 feet .I have one that is 5 feet deep by 4 feet wide by 6 feet long I picked up at an estate sale friday

that will make a nice pond for your goldfish, you will just want to keep your fish load down. Still not a real big pond, but way better than what you have! (your pond is nicely done btw) And don't add koi! lol

How deep is it? and are you going to bury it.

Thnx for the kind words addy, the pond will be 36" deep totally raised. I wasthinking of adding another 24" below gl by discarding the liner provided and purchasing new maaking it up vto roughly 500 gals

That would be great and your lil fish will love you! The 24 below ground will help your fish in the cold and hot also.

Make sure you post pictures as you go.

When you empty the pond to get rid of the algae, you basically started over with a new pond, it will need to cycle again. That may be one of your problems.
