Can I put koi fish in a 300 gallon Pond?

Exactly. Why get fish that you know are going to outgrow the size of the pond only to give them away (or scoop them up dead off the sidewalk) only to get more fish that will outgrow the size of the pond? Unless you're in the business to grow and sell koi, get some fancy goldfish or some colorful shubunkins and enjoy them for a good long time.

I just put a 300 gallon pond in, I am new to this, how many gallons do each koi fish require? will I be able to put koi fish in my pond?

I would do goldfish if you want them to reside long term.
