My big puppies have been in all my ponds swimming, dragging out pond plants, and making the ponds a big mucky mess in their younger days. Rest assured, they will outgrow this and will leave pond alone sooner or later. Let me tell you, when I came home and discovered what the bad puppies had done years ago, I was a ragging mommy monster, puppies seen mommy's head open wide and fold over with my teeth exposed, my tongue and my eyes were popping out of my head, loud growling sounds were heard for far and wide, and those bad puppies laid very low for quite a while!!

Now we have a deal, puppies get taken every day to the river to play! :)

I'm thinking the 10 year old "bad dog" lab isn't going to outgrow chasing rodents and other wildlife. Not looking good at all :( She is the one that somehow got into the thinly frozen 5k pond when we lived in Maryland. I finally heard the very faint whimper and found all 105 lbs clinging to the edge. By the time I got her out she could hardly walk. I slowly warmed her up and she was fine. We do think she is deficient mentally, though ;0) But love our dogs so put up with "all that" from rattle snake bite, eating gorilla glue, and torn ears to fishing in the pond.

Love my bog Chris. Crystal clear water. Our new and old goldies and a few little shubies are loving it.

Everything is growing like crazy. Thinking about planting morning glories behind "Mike" on the fence. Don't think I want a perennial vine but definitely need something on the fence. Maybe an tall skinny evergreen something.

Have a leak somewhere, working to narrow it down. Know where it could be but I will have to lower the level on the lower pond. After I fix that then we will see what's up (or down as the case may be.) Used old bed head and foot boards and the old blue door on the retaining wall since the drop is too much to risk any dogs or grandkids falling over. Love old junk!

Glad it worked great for you! Your water looks fantastic! Love mine.............

We were gone a week, with all the rain, now the heat wave everything went insane, including the bog. The 4getmenot grew over the water fall rock, blocked the outflow of the water, raised the bog water by a few inches. I had totally cleaned it before we left. In one day I lost a foot of water. Check the pond via net on monday all was fine, did not check yesterday, was heading home. Looked at it this am...........oh my pond down by a foot! We did not get home till midnight last night, plane diverted around storms. So now a new rule 3 feet of clear space around the bog water fall out put.
Also the reform outflow had some plants blocking the outflow, so now going to put in some plastic garden fence to keep anything from getting to the out put...............tomorrow. Today feet up recovery.

But did find the problem quickly refilling now, luckily a well, no chlorine issues.
