congrats on the house but I am thinking the other owner should be ashamed of himself .Gosh when I sold my other house I even put together a book with all the appliance manuals and how everything works and even paid for a year of maintinence on the furnace and air conditioner .I hope he at least comes through with the parts for you .

It has been very frustrating, but I do feel sorry for him - his wife died a couple of years ago and he has alcohol problems... not that it excuses his behaviour, but it helps to understand why he might have behaved in the way he has.

The sun is shining so I'm off to get some pictures! :D

Sorry for the delay, had such a busy week and have also slipped as disc in my back - joy!

Here are some photos. As you can see the pond isn't huge and it's chocobloc full of weed. I did discover a frog living underneath one of the broken flags next to the pond, but no other signs of life! It will be interesting to see if that lily flowers...

Sorry you hurt your back and hope it gets better soon.
You have a nice looking garden area there from what I can see. It looks like it will be fun to work with as you have lots of lovely looking shrubs/plants and trees. And nice pond, just needs some tender loving care. You have lots of Curly Pond Weed in there. I wish I could find some of that stuff here. The fish love it to eat,lay there eggs and hide in it. I think that lily will bloom as it has lots of nice pads on it.

What a pretty back yard and congrats! Take your time and heal first...and while you heal you can draw up ideas for your pond ie what you want it to look like. Enjoy!

Looks like you got a nice place and gosh those lily leaves are a nice color and really nice garden around it .Looks like the guy must have known what he was doing when he built it and did the shrubs .

Thanks everyone! Yes the water is actually nice and clear, and there is a bud on the lily which looks promising. My back is slowly getting better so hopefully we'll be out there getting things tidied up in not too long :)
