Bog filter irises

Don't think bearded iris will survive in a pond but most other varieties do

Blue Flag Iris is my fav. Native in the U.S. and does really well in the bog. Slowly spreads but hasn't been to aggressive or anything for me.

Irises don't seem to want to bloom if they're planted too deep in the water either. My Siberian bloomed great when the crown was above water... not so much when they were deeper. The plants still grew - just didn't do much blooming.

Then again my yellow flag is blooming like crazy this year and it's in the exact same place it's been for five or six years and usually gets 3 or 4 blooms... so who knows!

This group of iris blooming better than they have in years. Floating free in about 10 ish inches of water.
