Bog filter installation Not as easy as I thought!

Yes, the pads will float, They are less dense than water. This is not a 'Bog' filter as was originally indicated. Looks like the usual 'Skippy' filter.

I make pretty nice weirs (spillways) for stock tank filters..

about 1/2" thick polyethelene like the tank but denser. anybody interested:

When we got home we noticed the pads have pushed even farther up. How long before they settle or do I need to Jerry rig something to keep them down?

They float nicely, to keep them down you need to add some weight. Screening over them with a rock or two
