Bog building, also called upflow filter, eco filter, wetland filter

Got started on my bog pond expansion. I'll keep posting photos as I progress. Gonna mortar the walls tomorrow. And the liner should be her this week. So after I set the liner I'll share. Then you will get the finished product. I do want to thank everyone who has gave great advice on my expansion. I think it's gonna turn out wonderful!!

He is a hard little worker! Just gotta keep him digging in the right spots lol. He keeps telling me we are digging a pool not a fish pond haha

@Cj Harvey , may I suggest you start a showcase or new thread. In a few months or so it will may be hard to find this information, and it a year...

I can do that. When I'm done building I'll post all the photos in kind of a how too slide show. And hopefully everything works well and it can be a lot of help for others. I'm hoping all my weak math skills paid off and the pond to bog ratio is correct lol

It looks like you will have the existing pond connected through a tunnel; are and how are you pulling water from that "end" of the pond into the bog?
