ashirely If you add a 90 elbow to the inside fitting and turn them up you can add a section of pipe to that and set the water level in the tank to as high as you like. The water from the bog will overflow over the top of the pipe and return to the pond. The fittings inside the tub do not need to be glued, they will stay together well as there would be no water pressure in them.
If I was not about to rebuild my pond I would change my outflow to work like the above instead of a collection pipe with holes in it, much easier to set the water height. Wish I thought of it earlier.
You could have one outfloww higher than the other, one would be the main floww and the other as a backup in case the first gets cloged with plants. When you see water flowing from the 2nd pipe you know the outflow needs attention.

We will be making this modification this weekend. Have to make a run for more pipe to finish the job.

We finished the bog this weekend and it appears to be working great! The water is clearer than it has ever been and the fish are much more active. I have canna lillies, creeping jenny, impatiens, umbrella palm, cattails and papyrus along with two tomato plants thrown in to see how they will do. It may be overplanted but I can always thin it out if it gets too crowded.

Mine is always crowded, over planted. But it works great I just pull plants to make sure they don't block all the water flow.

Finally got the husband started on the bog build. These are pictures of what we have done so far. Just need to plumb it in to the pond and add pea gravel.
I have the same tub and the double outlets like yours for my second bog. What size pump are you using? my waterfall pump, which is a Laguna Max is too powerful and the bog overflows as it can't drain fast enough. Any know if I can add a valve to control/slow the flow into the bog? Or should I look for a weaker pump?

My pump pumps about 8500 gph but we did add a ball valve that will allow us to turn the flow down.

I still need to do some camouflage plantings to hide pipes but I'll have to wait until we are expecting rain.

looks great, are you using a flex hose from the pump? if so can I trouble you to take a picture of that connection?
I'm using some pressure unions but they are leak a bit.

No, our pump is external so we used 2 inch pvc. It's painted black to blend in with the tank. I will try to get a better pic later today.
