I'm just a little north of @rubyduby and the experts claim our black racer (land based) snakes hibernate Nov - Feb, but I see them most of the year, just much slower and more likely to be snoozing in the sun in Jan-Feb. Fingers crossed Ruby's is just a fat snake, not a mama ready to take over.Problem w/ @rubyduby is her place where she lives never gets really cold. So do the snakes remain active eating all year long down there?
If so that could become a really big problem for the fish and frogs if one snake becomes many
