You can use old under, just put a lot of holes in to keep any water from accumulating between the liners.

I was reading about HDPE being tougher and lighter than EPDM.
I drove on mine, have had deer in the pond digging in with sharp lil hooves to get out, they walk my stream in the winter. 12 years no leaks
A lot lighter

I was reading about HDPE being tougher and lighter than EPDM. Thoughts? I'm also not sure what MIL to get. So many choices! Should I keep my old pond liner to use as the underlayment or just throw it out? @GBBUDD I will check out justliners.com because I was also wondering the best online place to purchase.
make sure to get hdpre not hpde the R is important! ( reinforced )
