Thought i got away with it for a minute there

You got me.... but I don't know you like the others do. LoL

We got delayed twice more already. Was suppose to be Friday, but they rescheduled to yesterday. I got home last night and nothing. My husband got no phone call or message as to why they didn't make it. My only guess is we had a couple rain showers in the morning and they thought it would interfere. Woke up to a thunderstorm today so I bet they didn't come again. I'm not home yet to know for a fact, but may as well not get my hopes up.

By the way... I'm considering planting a few pussy willows around the backside. Does anyone know how close to the edge I can place them without causing trouble?

(Reminding everyone this will be a huge, 300,000+ gallon natural pond. No liner.)

Some thing that large can be breath taking or it can be a farm pond some cat tails along the edge and cloudy water. is there a bog in this design. ? it there mre to the shape then a simple oval ? rocks logs tree stumps?
yes sorry i did build my own but the contractor was great we never had a disagreement. my blog is the going for it 12000 gallon here in this area of construction and equipment

Contractors who don't call back or give a simple we can't make it today or we will make more of a mess then we will get done " which is probably the reason" but home owners don't run heavy equipment and until their yard is roped apart need those calls

No call from contractors of any kind makes my blood boil. We did a huge home renovation project last summer and 90% or our contractors were great - carpenter, plumber, electrician, HVAC, insulators - all very responsible about time and communication. Our painter/drywaller... not so much. He was a younger guy just trying to get his business off the ground so my husband mentored him a bit and kept encouraging him to JUST CALL. We all know things happen in construction, but communication is the key. He admitted that he was having trouble hiring reliable people - he himself was an excellent at the work, but running a business is a whole other ball game. He got better as time went on (he was here working for six months, so lots of time to improve!) and hopefully that carried over to his other customers.

I wanted a bog but will not be able to pump water through it cost effectively. The guy at the pond supply store we visited thought aeration would be all we really need, because I do plan to add plants both in and around it. We decided on a windmill for aeration but we are running electrical out there so I can add a waterfall in the future.

Pussy Willows are just one of many plants for the edge I'm going to use, but because they are more shrub like I am uncertain of how close to the edge I should go with them.
