There’s still lots here. I’m not sure if they got the queen, there’s a swarm in the tree beside it. The bee keepers said it may just be residual scent from the queen, but they weren’t even sure if they got her.

If I was them I would come back and pick up the extra bees. Is it a hanging bunch?

Sort of like this picture, not the best, couldn't find the original

The bees to the left are around a trunk, the queen is never there. The bees to the right are hanging off a small branch horizontal, the queen is in there. The biggest bunch of bees is where the queen is.

Found it, you can see the bee clump on the right, all hanging onto a small horizontal branch, the other bees wrapped around tree trunk and branches.
That is where the queen is

It was a small clump on a branch. I’ll jjst keep an eye on them. If they act like they are hunting for a hive, I’ll presume we have a queen. But there were more on the old piece of hive than were on the tree , so it may just be sent.

If you zoom in, you’ll see what I mean. I’m tired and a bit sore, my days off this week and next will be jacked up, and I was emptying the mulm from the pool to prep it to move.

There are always left over bees, the foragers were out getting food, come home and find their home gone. So they cluster.
