Beautiful morning. Was able to add a bunch of native plants to the pond and garden. Should look great once it all starts to fill in.

Damn, looking so good. I’m jealous of your mature trees. Someone cut down the ones in our yard about 5 years before we arrived.

Just noticed your pond excavation is really close to one of your trees. Did you have to remove any primary roots?

Thank you! and yes I had to do some root clearing. I had to take down two trees as well. One of them was a nice Japanese maple which was a bit disappointing, but I wanted to stick to all native plants. The mountain laurel I planted is essentially the big showy piece that replaces the Japanese maple, but is native.
