It sounds as if this company lacks trust and is acting as if anyone with a claim is lying to them.
I disagree I have met Greg Whittstock and visited his main office. He is a buisness like any other. And knowing what kind of questions we get here makes me very glad I am not selling pumps. Lights or anything the general public can use AS THEY SEE FIT. David letterman use to have a skit with warnings on products. My favorite was do not use a toothbrush to clean your toilet and then use oraly. The scary part is someone did

I have invested a lot in Aquascape products. I thought the premium price they charge is because they have quality products and a good warranty. Their warranty on items seems good until you try to file a claim. You have to jump through hoops dealing with them and even if you can prove to them that the item has failed they expect you to disconnect it and send it in for them to decide if they are going to replace it. This is the third time I have had something go bad while covered. The turnaround time is several weeks. Meanwhile, while they decide the pond goes bad. You would think that a company that sells products for Koi ponds would have better service. Nope! Steer clear of them if you are looking for pond products. They are not what they claim to be.

How right you are! I have had the exact same experience. I've used various pond and fountain pumps for 30 years and know what I'm doing. My 1800 Aquaforce pump failed after one season so I filed a claim. After MANY long, detailed emails answering more and more questions and sending photos they denied my claim and said I could mail in the pump if I'd like them to reconsider! Be forewarned: their impeller is made of hair-thin non-corrosive metal over highly corrosive iron. Any imperfection in that outer layer will cause the impeller core to rust and bubble, and your pump will become a very over-priced paperweight.
