I'm also using stock tank float valves on my three ponds, cheap ($13 at tractor supply), reliable and just plumb onto the end of a garden hose. two of them are on my garden well system and the new one for the 90,000 gallon pond is connected to a 2,000 gallon rain water storage tank and room for a second tank if needed.
