I used retaining wall block and as long as the


footing is good you should really have no problems .

Shalom - look at a waterwheel - visit waterwheelplace.com, he has 88 pictures of waterwheels with some neat ideas. And as I found out from mine, it doesn't take much water to operate a 24" dia wheel.
