thats a great price and I would think it should be more than enough .More is better with pumps .I always have 2 pumps in my pond as you never know when something will happen and you need back up fast .I have a 2150 gph and a 940gph right now and the one stock tank has a 460gph and the other one has a 210 gph .

Lol! My 4500gph pump in my big pond moves a lot of water so I wasn't sure if 5,000gph would be too much but I really want a lot of water moving not just a little squirt but I don't want it to be shooting straight of the rocks.

You can always send the extra water some where else in the pond .Remember the more movement of water you have the more aeration you get and the less algae problems .I think that may be a reason I get very little algae .My one 2150 pump goes to 2 filters and a fountain and the other pump goes to spitters and a rock fountain and in the pond fountain head at the other end

Wow that is a good price for a pump that big. Make sure it doesn't eat up too much electricity. Some use way more than others.
