one huge oak that drives me crazy every year by hanging on to them WAY longer than it should! It often takes the first snowfall or ice storm in December or January to get them to completely drop

I got one of those too! Sometimes it still is hanging on to the leaves when my other trees are starting to put out new leaves in the spring.

I had one back in IL like that. It never dropped its leaves until it started budding out in the Spring. At least this one doesn't wait THAT long!

tHERES ONE TREE I HATE EVEN MORE THAN THE OAK FOR LEAVES. the southern catalpa. it has huge leaves in the shape of a spade" playing card" the whole tree flowers and it's 80 feet tall. makes a sticky mess in june. then it looses it's leaves in the fall . then it has an extra bonus. It has pods that are a foot long and that opens and drops it's seeds i believe in December/ January . And then the pods drop in february. the rake never gets put away. now mind you one of the most beautiful flowering trees there is a 80 foot tree covered in flowers but make no mistake they are a nightmare
