900 - 1000 gal pond pump size

My pond i am working on will be around 900- 1000 gallon

thinking about the harbor fright 3200 gph pump. I want to by pass the filter with one line going straight to the waterfall and then run the line leaving the filter to the waterfall also.... my question is i know i want my water to stay in my filter for a little while. will this be to fast of a turn over to filter the pond propperly

This pump may be too much unless your head pressure is high. I use 2 of this very same pump in mine foe circulation and my large waterfall. My bio filter/waterfall uses an 1150 GPH pump. I have 3 falls.

Ok Thanks I thought it was probable to much.. They just had a nice price on it.
