Hello. I had Dichondria come up naturally around my ponds edge and it looked cute bewtween the rocks so I left it, hoping it would fill in the whole dirt area around the pond. Now, over a year later it has gotten a little taller and I'm not liking it as much. Plus, it's penitrated the pond foam and is now in the water and creeping into the surronding flower bed. Yesterday, racoons came and rearranged some of my rocks and as I was fixing them I realized how thick the roots are. I couldn't even pull it out by hand. Now I'm thinking I should have never let it grow around the pond at all. Does anyone know how I can get rid of it without killing my other pond plants? I have lilies & watercress. No fish in the pond but local wildlife drink and bathe in it and dragonflys lay eggs in it so I don't want to harm any of them. I'm in Southern California.
