Will this work

Hello Guys, Will water lilies grow if I only use pea single or small grave in a foot of water? I'm asking because my plants grow like that in my aquarium.

Hi. Well, maybe? I have mine in unscented clay cat litter in about a foot of water and they do great. Maybe if your gravel is very small. Good luck.

In general, water lilies don’t need a lot of depth. The challenge is in keeping it from floating up.

I don't know what I did wrong but I used fuller's earth, the unsented clumping type and the water got all cloudy the fish were staying on the bottom and seriously clogged my fillers. So replaced the fillers put the lilies in small shingle. Fingers crossed back feels broken lol.

Bummer, that must have been frustrating. FWIW I use this product from Walmart - perhaps you can find a source for it? It has never even produced dust for me.

i do get a mist from the same stuff but it's because the koi love to root in it
