It's also incredibly tough to keep up with a conversation when you've posted the same one In multiple places.

Several years ago I would find drowned birds in my pond and bog. I found out it was a bull frog in our pond, jumping up to catch and eat them, but drowning them in the process as they were too big for him to swallow :(

Last year, we were sitting by the pond having our morning coffee as usual when a robin jumped off the side into the pond. Into the deepest section, of course, but the whole pond was too deep for a bird bath. Or so I thought.

I jumped up to get a net but by the time I was ready to scoop it out, the bird had flapped his wings against the surface of the water and propelled him or herself out, back onto the pond edge.

He stood there for a minute and jumped back in! He spread his wings to keep himself afloat, flapped a bit and levitated back to the pond edge. He did this 3 more times!

I have never seen anything like that before or since and am still amazed at that bird. It seemed to me that he was either very clever or had done that before. Maybe both. But it was amazing to watch.

I'm not sure that others are as smart as that one, so I now try to keep a pan of shallow water near the pond for birds to bathe in. Guess I should get a bird bath.

Now that's interesting. Is that a bird ramp?
I think that it would work for any type of critter, but I don't have one. I just have rocks and pot plants near the edge and the birds can get out that way. I see them landing in the pots and bathing all the time and no birds ever drowned in it that I know of anyways.
