White bumps on gill plates

I know male goldfish get white bumps on the sides of the face during breeding. I have seen this for the first time the last couple days, pretty cool. My question is do male koi get the same bumps? My koi started spawning yesterday but have not been able to see bumps on them.

Yes they do but sometimes not as clearly visible in some types as others. Goldfish you can feel them even more than on Koi as well but they are still there.

I see them on my goldies, don't have koi so no clue, but you can see the bumps
