JW, now you have me wondering. I have both of my hoses laying out on the yard, and we got down to 25 and 29 last week a couple of nights. Both have shut offs on the ends, although the water source was shut off. I'm sure there will be no damage, but maybe I have better hoses than what you're talking about. I hate the cheap hoses that won't coil up. All of mine are the type that even if they are cold, they will coil up easily. Got up to 75 here today, cloudy and humid as all get out. Had AC on at work, just seemed "wet". 100% chance of rain tonight and tomorrow. I've gotten .8" so far, and loving every minute of this wet weather. Weekend is promised to be beautiful and sunny, so I'll take the wet cloudy days during the week. Planning to do all sorts of winterizing around the ponds this weekend, getting plants cut off that have wilted in the frosts we had last week, and moving bulbs inside for drying out for the winter. Must remember to get a bale of peat moss tomorrow .... must remember ... remember ... now, what was I trying to remember???? Oh, yeah, peat moss! Oh, and Lou, I loved your squirrel story. It is fun to watch them. I enjoyed seeing lots of pretty birds - blue jays, cardinals, juncos, nuthatches, black capped chickadees, flickers ... at my sister's house last weekend. They live in a subdivision, large lots (half to full acre) with tons of mature trees. Squirrels, too. And she was feeding whole peanuts in the shell. Man did the black birds love them, and the squirrels and blue jays. I sure do miss all the pretty birds, as don't have hardly any out here. In fact, the birds I do have rarely eat the food I put in the feeders. Maybe this winter there will be more ...
