Since we are all obsessed (that's what my mom from AZ says about me) with the weather, thought I would start a thread so we could post what the weather is like in our neck of the woods. This winter has sure had some mild weather across the US. Yesterday I sat and admired my fish many times, it drew me outside. The pond water was 46 degrees at the surface.
This morning, the fog has rolled in, it's 31 degrees, and the moisture on my deck is ice. I'm concerned about black ice on the roads, so will be leaving for work early. Still supposed to be above normal in temps (40's for highs and 30 for lows) the next 10 days, and mostly sunshine. Who could ask for more for February? :razz:

Frigid low 50's this morning, and it's supposed to get in the high 60's low 70's later on. It's like the North Pole here in California.

We're getting off & on showers and sun. Fairly normal for this time of year in Cascadia, but after Memorial day of course the weather hits the 80's all week. So much for painting some new siding, but perfect for digging out my bog garden.
The odd thing is that we've already had temps near 100 in April. Crazy weather.

Rained and more hard rain, every hour on the hour, all day long... Looks like finally clouds clearing, but then I said that all day long in between storms...

Pond nets still mostly up but starting to think about taking them down soon. Net were very big help this year. Don't know why I never put them up before for spring. Used to just use them in fall. Tree litter should be over fairly soon.

Wet!

Felt a jolt to the house last night about 1:30am and only lasted for a second but shook the windows and whole house. Even cat jumped up to look. Checked web and no earthquakes noted or whatever so I don't know what it was. Could it be a sonic boom w/o any noise?

summer is going to whizz by you mitch .You won't see spring at all the way you are going .That or you are going to have a super hot summer .I have the feeling with my weird spring here that July and August are going to be hot and drier then ever .
