What creature is this? Friend or foe?

Sorry. Difficult to get a decent photo when the creature is so tiny. It's on a sheet of normal lined paper - to give you an idea of size.

The tail end can open like a 'V' shape.

looks like dragon fly larvae, maybe. Mine are usually bigger by the time I see them

That was my second guess..................but couldn't remember the name of the larvae...........lol

Yeah, first time I saw one it was definitely a "What the heck???!!!???" moment.
