So I need a 20' x 25' liner. I assume the EPDM firestone is what I have to go with. This THREAD says that ebay should be cheepest, but for this size it comes to $288.80 shipped on pondliners.com and $320 shipped on ebay is the cheepest I found, which sucks cause of the 8% cashback on ebay I was hoping for it to be the cheepest.
I am going to concrete the sharp corners of my pond and then lay carpet over it the whoe thing. Should I also lay underliner over the whole thing on top of carpet or no need. Maybe just buy one small section to use here and there?
Next, I am getting a 70-110gal stock feed bucket to make a skippy filter that will be at the top of my pond like koiguy's, and the pond will be like 1000-1200gal I think. What pump should I get? This is already costing more than I wanted, but im not going to skimp. I saw koiguy has a tetrapond pump which I guess is a dyna tec. Are these regaurded as good pumps as I could get a tetrapond 1100 for $139.98 shipped from Drs fosters or even less from Ponds and Pets ESTIMATED TOTAL $118.82 shipped
Specs 1100gph 14 ft.head 106 2200
or the 1500 for $162.98 (Ponds and Pets ESTIMATED TOTAL $140.82 shipped)
Do I need a skimmer also for leaves or im just going to have to cover it in fall or? It is in complete shade so I dont know what else I need besides plumbing that I hope to get a loews for cheep. I will also have to get electricity outside but that I will deal with later I guess.

Ebay was the cheapest I found 3 years ago when I did my pond. I did buy a kit though which had the epdm, underlayment, skimmer, weir, pump and most of the plumbing.

It seemed it was cheepest when I thought I could get a 15x15, but not for the 20x25 I guess, not today. I guess $288 aint bad, but man was I happy when I thought a 15x15 would work at 86.99 shipped. I just wish I could find the 20x25 at a comparable price:
15x15=225sqft
20x25=500sqft
so 500/225=2.222x as big
2.222 x 86.99 = $193.31. That would be a good price.

Re: What and where to buy: pump, liner, ect. GO 60 mil?

wow there is a 60 mil, but it would be 437.53 shipped from bestnest
http://www.bestnest.com/bestnest/RTProduct.asp?SKU=FIR-EPDM20025-6&src=msnshop&kw=FIR-EPDM20025-6

pondliner.com has them also for 255 but had to call about shipping as its over 200lbs. Anyone gone with 60mil? cost is crazy, but a rock bottom pond it may be worth it. maybe I can make do with a 20x20 and use a leftover section to get under the filter...have to remeasure.

called a local pond store and the 45mil firestire was $400 OTD...sucks, I dont see how they stay in business, but im not going to be the one that helps them save up for a vacation house.
