Has anyone used weed blocker for underlayment? I know carpet is a popular choice, but I'm wondering if weed blocker will work.

Thanks!

Ok; thanks for the feedback. I had read about some people using it.

I guess it's time for some Craigslist treasure hunting for free carpet!

In addition to carper which can be found at the curb, be on the look out for free pool liner. Its thick and when added to the carpet will keep any sharp object from sticking through.

They do have really thick weed blocker I got special order for my hill for under the rocks .It was thick and had a reinforced lines and also ribs that helped hold the rocks .It was some really heavy stuff .I know it took 3 of us to lift the roll of it and roll it out on the hill .Lost all my pics on old vista puter with the name and pics of it .I paid 150 something dollars for a roll of 500 feet by 12 feet wide from a landscaping company .Still holding up under the rocks .
