If a leaf comes up and it's, say for example, the size of a silver dollar; does it stay that size, or does it grow larger?

I have some that remain that size and some that grow larger...on the same plant!

My pads generally start out small and as the weather warms and the plant gets going the pads are larger and larger. But they don't ever grow bigger once they hit the surface, if that's what you mean.

Like already said they will grow larger. My pads are all starting to get some size now but it has taken a few weeks.

My lilies in the small warm ponds have leaves around 6 plus inches, the ones in the big pond vary from small to larger. They all started out small just now getting larger.

My pads don't get bigger once they have formed. The plant itself though will produce bigger pads once it really starts to throw up pads.
