Hyacinth and lettuce don't like my pond. The lilies do fine.

If you ahve good balance of fish, plants and filtration, the plants should thrive. Try a few more fish. Worked for me.

lol I have over 200 fish, think my bog keeps the water too clean. The lilies get fertilizer, they do fine. All other big pond plants struggle. This is the first year parrots feather has grown decently in the big pond, just in one area, near the overflow area, maybe because more muck and nutrients flow by on their way out of the pond.
