Water colour change

Not really a pond question just about water. I have 2 large water totes for fire protection, have well water in them for 2 days and it was clear. I thought I would add some bleach to stop any algae growth and now the water looks like weak tea. I know our water has a fair amount of magnesium in it, would this be the reason for the reaction?

Magnesium usually shows up as purple when reacting to chlorine, but I suppose it could be. Maybe it's iron?

It's most likely from iron oxidation
