Hi, I have to do a 25% water change and my pump is slow. I need to go down below the skimmer and it will probably take around 3 hours to get there. My water temp is now 83. It is safe for the koi to be in the lesser water for the time it takes to drain and refill? We have 2500gal. pond with an air pump and a water pump with a spill splash. How fast could I fill it once pumped out? I have to do this today so I can put in a second treatment for parasites.

Thank You

Okay thank you. How fast can I put it back in? It will take 3 hours to pump out. With the hose on slow--it may take just as long to fill.

Thank You

For that short of time in that volume of water I would say it does not matter.

Is it going to be tap water? Or well water? I don't think it matters how fast you put the wager back in as long as you can somewhat temperature match it and you have water conditioner in case you need to neutralize the chlorine or whatever else is in tap water. If it is cold well water I would probably take my time filling it so as to not cool off the water too much. If you are pressed for time I think they would do ok with the hose filling at full flow but I imagine they won't be happy about it.

It's tap city water, it runs about 53d. I have a de chlorinator. I'll run it on shower--they've been through a lot lately with the parasites, having a hard time getting rid of them.

Thank You
