UV Set Up

Hi guys,
I have a filter with built in UV lamp - but I have the chance to buy an unwanted external UV setup from a mate.
Can I have/is it okay to have 2 UV lamps?
Was thinking of setting it up after the filter, as an extra shot so to speak?

Depending on the pond, multiple UVs may be a waste of money and energy.

I run 2 on the 300 gallon stock tank when I have babies in there that I am giving away .How many watts are there .That would make a difference .Plus if you don't need it now you may need it later .I had one end go bad on one .I thought it was the bulb but nope .
