I moved into a 1963 home a month ago. I was weeding the grass in my rock wall and realized there was a waterfall underneath so I unearthed it. It has a concrete basin that holds water but there are a couple of roots growing through. There is also a large pipe opening that looks like a pump was directly attached to it a looong time ago and a hose going through the concrete. I think the best route is to add a geotextile underlayment and a pvc liner over the concrete basin and old pipes. The only thing I am really worried about is what to do with the power cord. What did you all do with your pump and filter cords? O only have one outdoor outlet and we plug in our car there! I'm thinking all the stuff for it will be about $500 if I do it myself. If I decide to pay someone so the electrical can be buried in conduit and brought to the electrical box - what is the most you would pay for it? Before and after photos.
