One of the new shallow water ponds in the outdoor area where the good little turtle boys and girls get to go play :D Basically a semi water-tight membrane lined pool that has a trickle in fill to reuse water from the overflow of the main pond and large terrarium indoor purgers (approx. 20,000 Gal). Usually will stay about full with roughly 800 gallons but does run over in downpours and cleaning days when the whole sanctuary gets cleaned out. The grassy area is fenced in at exactly .5 acres in order to give the boxies a place to mosey around too as they tend to give less than a ^&*& about the ponds

Here is one that is still being built. The grey material that looks like gravel or cement is actually just clay mixed with sand I get from a friends property to provided a substrate that drains at a predictable and slow rate.

And the pond inspector checking on the weed guard installation. He said it looks like a human did it but he will allow it to pass this time :D

Nice work & cute turtle
Thanks. I just hate waiting on the membrane to get coated with algae etc. cause the white color of the weaved material looks so weird. It usuallu breaks down fast though so it will blend in in a mater of a week or so as long as it does not rain too often.
