When I turn on the pump to the waterfall, it runs green for a few seconds , coloring the clear pond, I have about 4 ft excess tubing underneath the plastic waterfall,. Do you think the water in the tubing turns green ?

i have a similar thing going on when i turn my external pump off...when i turn it back on, the water coming out of the waterfall will be a little green and does cloud the water a little.
but after a little while - perhaps an hour or two - its all settled again and clear...
i just thought it was sediment settling in the tubing?
im not bothered by it - at the end of the day i just want the water clear enough for the majority of time that i can see what the fish are up to! :)
