Nothing better to do today, so thought it would be a good time to organize photos on disc, on FB, and multi computer files, all into my photo bucket account. Forgot the names of plants amongst other things LOL.

This first one, I know (I think) is a Taro... am I correct in calling it a Black Magic? I have a few pics of its growth, so wanted to give it its own folder LOL. (This is when it just outgrew the little 4" pot it came in, and hubby transferred it to a 5 gallon nursery pot - boy has it grown LOL)

If you are bored and have some patience, I have a bunch of plants that I dont remember their names... LOL.

I plant mine in combos sometimes gives a neat contrast between the green and black. You can divide the bulbs up to get more plants .Just use a sharp knife to cut them apart like hostas

does it have a black stem as it could be that or what is called ruffles if the leaves really ruffle .Black stem has a coppery leaf or metallic leaf and leaves are true heart shape

No spots on it, but it has gone a really dark green. I dont know if that is normal, or a lack of light... it has gotten really tall... it is almost 4' tall now... stems do look near black... bad pic, lighting is bad in the basement right now for pics... not sure I would say the leaves ruffle, but they definately have a cup to them....

Your second taro or colocasia looks a bit like teacup colocasia. And what Ryan is calling bloody dock looks a bit like sorrel to me. Sorrel is yummy so I can't blame the goats! And yes, your red spikey thing is a canna lily.

Do you know the trick of cutting old mini-blinds and using them to make plant tags? Works a champ. Just use a pencil to write on the mini-blind, not a permanent marker. Permanent markers fade in the sunlight.
