beautiful weather in Virginia, in the 70s F. So ran some trains. There are a few big tadpoles in the aqueduct. 3 tree frogs that come out at night but no longer sing mating calls and 2 green frogs that are out during the day. Can't get any better than this!

so you got ole clicty clacky going again after the crash and can see he is going slower .I see you have railroad tracks under it and you have other trains to run also .I was scared for a minute your one part at the end made clicty clack leaning at the end there and thought it was going to fall side ways and go boom .

Dave I've seen little trains and tracks in a pond landscape a couple times before, they really go together very well. Looks good.

thanks; taking the train isn't for the feint of heart (or is it faint). The slow speed seems to help it stay put on the tracks. Love water gardens and love trains so doesn't get much better than that.

Did you notice the hound scooting out of the way? Is if she said, 'oh boy, train coming, better run for cover, oh boy, oh boy."

Lol

This isn't pond particular but sort of related. Years ago I planted Alberta Spruce around my waterways and over time, the summer bugs have killed them. I know there are ways to kill the pests but I've sort of had a hands-off approach, letting nature decide survival of fittest.

So, I've been replacing them with native species: Virginia Juniper. I planted this fellow about 45 minutes ago. They're extremely hardy and if you restrict their roots or prune them, they'll stay rather small. Otherwise, they get about 25' tall.

had to show you I can build a train too  It's not done yet and used some old wood i just had left laying around and well this is it .I think ok since i did it from no plans just from my head .Took me 2 days but been working on the my house and the light house and several other projects .What you think is it OK .I'm afraid the bands reacted to the stain but figure it is OK not looking for perfection .I was going to take the bands off but as you can see decided against that .
